Protective Effect of Hydroalcoholic Extracts of <i>Galega officinalis</i> and <i>Cornus mas</i> on Spermatogenesis and Oxidative Stress Associated With Diabetes in the Testes of Adult Rats: An Experimental Study

Objectives: In this research, we evaluated the protective effect of hydroalcoholic extracts Galega officinalis and Cornus mas on spermatogenesis oxidative stress associated with diabetes in testes adult rats. Materials Methods: experimental study, a total 64 male Wistar rats were divided into eight equal groups (n=8 each) as follows: (1) control group, (2) diabetic (3) group receiving extract daily at dose 50 mg/kg, (4) healthy mg/kg for 14 days, (5) 100 (6) daily, (7) (8) daily. Diabetes was induced by single intraperitoneal injection streptozotocin (50 mg/kg). At end treatment period, all animals anesthetized blood samples taken to measure serum levels insulin, glucose, markers. Finally, testicles epididymis removed sperm parameters assessed. Results: significantly reduced stress, parameters, insulin plasma (P=0.001). Furthermore, malondialdehyde (MDA) level increased The activity superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalase (CAT) enzymes decreased testicular tissue Administering improved these (P&lt;0.05). Conclusions: Our results confirmed antioxidant administering improving damage caused diabetes.
